Will it be able to handle Minesweeper?
Upgraded my PC 2002 with a 120GB Harddrive and they were getting cheaper, I went to school back then, at this time I could afford one for 150€ I think.
But will it blend?
Can it run crysis?
???My laptop was built in 2005 and it had a 120 GB HDD, and it was a piece of shit back then.
It’s going to be the future before you can build one.
80 years old… XD GEYSER GAMER!
if you had a time machine, i don’t think you’d even be interested in such trivial things.
according to moore’s law, it’s probably sooner than you think.
I will invent a time machine go to the future buy things which in the future will be outdated and come back …voila in the present time those thigns will be out of the record
And 100GB hard drives were unheard of in 2004. Just remember that.
erm…. all i can say is that its nowhere near. we are only a quarter to there
I dont think that will happend anytime soon, but I hope that day comes^^
This is why they shouldn’t of dumped the phenom architecture :l
I was hoping for someone to touch it XD
Heres an old article about germanium: techspot . com/news/21961-ibm-produces-500ghz-silicon-germanium-cpu.html
you’re talking about graphene. in lab there was tested graphene transistors that can teoretically go up to 100GHz. imagine it in PC
P
1:55 Dramatic Hardman.
I actually don’t think thats possible
I think we COULD manufacture some 10nm processor at about 9-10ghz stock clocks on air, and would be completely and utterly impossibly expensive
Well, I think the companies are trying to balance that out with price. Yeah we could have 100GHz chips, but they would be expensive as hell.
And technology is moving so fast that is most likely within the next 5-10 years. I actually found an artical from 2000, saying how intel predicted 10ghz chips by 2011 (moore’s law), and people leaving comments from 2000 said it was so slow, and moores law said that we should have 128ghz chips by last year haha. Crazy shit
The stock cooler to keep it at 4.6
What heatsink do you use?
I was kinda hoping it would be a X6…
The thing is clock speeds will stay the same while the number of cores increase
is it a good idea to microwave this
I know, my FX-8150 has broken 5GHz on air (A suicide run, stable is 4.6GHz)
well if you knew anything about computers youd understand that 4GHz is practical and 5GHz is easily done with cooling. 7GHz willl be attainable normally by 2015-2020. and we already have 16 cores on 1 cpu. plus those who run dual cpus there you go your already running 32 cores AMD OPTERON.
One day, 7GHz will be your stock clock. And getting a 2ghz overclock on air will be n00b status.
congratulations man hahaha
Holy crap, I’m still top comment.
I can see that happening in like 2 or 3 years.
Intel predicted 10GHZ Chips by 2011. We aren’t even close to that. You’ll have to wait a little, sorry.
Pssh! The real question is… Will it blend ?
intel skymont @3.4THz with 512 cores and hyper-threading W00T!!!
write me pm if you want this song mp3 in 320kbps
will be shit, cores will stay 8 or 16 absolutly max ,and cpu speed doubles every 5 years so… not long so 10 20 yrs to wait
lol dude 10 years ago you was playing with a single core not forget quad core was not even born let alone the 4ghz standerd speed on each gpu core…. Dude in the next 10 years a 7ghz core is old shit.
We already have 8core processors and my old motorola droid is running at 1GHZ so that future will be relatively soon.
you can wait for the day this will happen. cause it is barely impossible for the technique to create processors that can reach more than 10ghz with normal ways.
my first pc was running on a cpu with a massive 33Hz xD
1000x is a massive over exaggeration they will likely layer 2-4 in the early years so double to quadrupole speeds
Wow, Impressing! I dont think 5-7 years is that long to wayt for a cpu 1000 times faster that the fastest today!
the next step will be this /watch?v=0VuOgUrRflU which will probably be in place for 5-7 years then it’s on to molecular computing.
totaly agree, And we have soon met the limit of how many bits a cpu can have. so thats why i think nvidia or intel or amd soon will come up with some new technology
