Interview with Dr. Rustom Kanga, CEO, iOmniscient, leading innovations in video analytics. The technology has been awarded a host of international industry awards, most recently the IFSEC 2011 CCTV Product of the Year, 2010 Global Security Challenge for Crowded Places and Australia’s Engineering Excellence Award for a rail project in China. The VA technology is on display at key events held throughout the year in the UK, UAE, USA and China. For this reason, Dr. Rustom and his partners should be an inspiration to any budding innovator and recognised for taking the Australian security industry to the world!

Most the video analytics products are based on motion detection and hence cannot work in crowds and have a high false alarm rate.
We have used iOmniscient on 4 large projects. They are different. They have some unique technology. It actually does work in crowded scenes and their NAMS system reduces false alarms by an order of magnitude. Their 24×7 service is really good. Great attitude. Great references too around the world
Its OK to be cynical but try iOmniscient out first. They are different.
Sorry, this is BS.
This technology does NOT work effectively in crowds. This kind of hype only works with neive first-time buyers. Show me genuine independent customer data (in detail) of the performance of such systems in finding bags, trip and fall etc., in a crowded context, and I will believe.
I hate it when products win awards just because of what the manufacturers SAY it does, not on actual customer data.
