The world of mobile technology is one of the fiercest competitive markets ever. In the quest to stand out from the pack, some companies make bold moves and succeed brilliantly. Others are more meek and fade into the unexceptional background. Still others fill the space between, innovating once, then endlessly iterating over and over again. Then there are those that just screw it all up. Thanks to choices that are either too bold, too meek, or just plain-old absolutely insane, these are the products that fall flat on their face. They’re not to be mocked, but the lessons they teach should certainly be remembered. That’s our goal with Worst Gadgets Ever: recalling some of mobile technology’s biggest blunders, acknowledging what the original intent was, and taking lessons from failures in execution. ___ On this episode: Sprint’s one-time pride, the “industry-first” Kyocera Echo. Announced during a February 2011 NYC event amid a fog of David Blaine magic -presumably to distract from the device’s wide array of shortcomings- the Echo was the precursor to today’s phablets. But instead of just expanding a smartphone’s dimensions until it creeped up on tablet territory, as with Samsung’s Galaxy Note, Kyocera employed dual screens connected by a hinge protected by six patents (pending). Somewhere between all those patents, the thick bezel, aged Android build, and design characteristics of a child’s toy, the dream went awry for Kyocera and Sprint. So awry that, even in a world where …

yeah i guess thats the same one coz back here in india it came out as lg cookie and lg cookie pep.
This is very terrible. lmao
I did want that phone badly thank god i didnt buy it
I personally think this was a bit ahead of its time. We need a proper bezel-less display, a slimmer design, and a faster processor would make this not a hit, but not a flop either.
I think it looks like a Nintendo DS.
you mean lg chocalate
I feel bad for you
Cuz you had to buy that peace of sh*t
awesome man keep doin such videos. LG cookie also deserves being in one of ur videos
:@ NO
Choices*
I hate his voice
Please make more videos like this I really like it
Make it thinner and make the screen bigger and this thing would be pretty awesome
odd look but was tooo thick
they should make an updated version of this with a thinner display and have a better mechanism. It should run Jellybean 4.2 and have a bigger display.
get a woman…
If there was no boarder between the two screen, and it was thinner, this would actually be pretty awesome.
Apple must have been laughing their buts of f back then. Not anymore now
get a life…
I knew this was gonna fail months before release
Nice prediction
You guessed it right!
if this phone was made today by samsung it would be amazing. i thing the phones concept was way before its time and the hardware and software at the time really wherent able to do the concept its true justice
